What to include about your Kawasaki model
Kawasaki's UK motorcycles include Ninja sport and sport-touring models, Z roadsters, Versys adventure tourers, Vulcan and Eliminator cruisers, retro-styled machines and off-road ranges. The family name alone is not enough to establish engine size, version or equipment.
Check your V5C registration document (logbook), service records and the bike itself for the full model name and year. Include any version name, such as SE, only when you know it is correct. If you are unsure, tell us rather than guessing.
Tell us your model, version and features
The version is the extra part of the model name, such as Sport, GT or RS. If you are unsure, check your registration document or service book and tell us what you know.
Help a dealer place the motorcycle within the correct Kawasaki family before assessing its individual condition.
Ninja and ZX
Sports and sport-touring bikes need fairing, control, wheel and case photos, together with details of any track use, drops and replacement panels.
Z roadsters
Identify engine size and version, then record tail tidies, exhausts, levers, protection or cosmetic changes and any original parts supplied.
Versys
Show luggage, screens, protection, wheel condition and touring equipment, with winter or off-road use reflected in the condition description.
Vulcan, Eliminator and retro models
Document seats, screens, luggage, exhausts and cosmetic accessories, especially where personalisation changes the standard appearance.
Details to gather before listing a Kawasaki
Give the full model name and describe its condition honestly, including any faults or damage.
- Full model name and version, engine size, year, registration and current mileage.
- Service records and invoices for maintenance or repair work you have records for.
- Every ignition, immobiliser and luggage key included.
- MOT status, advisories, warning lights and known mechanical or electrical faults.
- Factory equipment and aftermarket exhaust, luggage, protection or cosmetic parts.
- Finance, import, previous damage, insurance history or write-off information where relevant.
Be specific about sports, touring or cruiser use
A Ninja with low mileage, a regularly used Z and a high-mileage Versys tell different ownership stories. Service dates, tyre and chain condition, storage and cosmetic wear help a dealer understand how the bike has been used.
Photograph and describe scraped cases, fairing cracks, bent controls, corroded fasteners and wheel damage. If accessories have changed riding position, suspension, exhaust or electronics, list the changes and avoid claiming they improve value.
Kawasaki photographs that answer dealer questions
Provide complete side, front and rear views, dashboard mileage, engine, controls, wheels and tyres. Add detailed fairing and case photographs for Ninjas, luggage and underside views for Versys models, and accessory close-ups for cruisers.
Show all damage and every non-standard part in neutral light. Include the complete key set and service records while keeping personal addresses and unrelated details out of view.
How MotorGeeks dealer offers work
Enter your registration or add your motorcycle details yourself, then tell us its mileage, condition, service history, features and accessories. Add clear photos so approved dealers can review your bike and decide whether to make an offer. You can compare offers and there is no obligation to accept one.
If you accept, the selected dealer receives the contact information needed to discuss inspection, payment and collection or handover. The motorcycle must still match its description, and the purchase is completed directly with the dealer. Read the UK motorbike selling guide before handover.
Kawasaki seller questions
Can I sell a modified Kawasaki?
Yes. Describe the changes, include photographs and state which standard parts are supplied. The dealer will assess the complete motorcycle.
What should I show on a faired Ninja?
Photograph every fairing panel, engine cases, bar ends, levers, wheels and tyres, including close-ups of marks or repairs.
Should Versys luggage be listed separately?
Yes. State whether panniers, top box, racks, liners and keys are included and show their current condition.
